Artist's Description
Rainbow Row is the name for a series of thirteen colorful historic houses in Charleston, South Carolina. The houses are located north of Tradd St. and south of Elliot St. on East Bay Street, that is, 79 to 107 East Bay Street. It is referred to as Rainbow Row for the pastel colors used to paint all of the houses. It is a common tourist attraction and is one of the most photographed parts of Charleston.
In Charleston's embrace, down Rainbow Row,
Where pastel hues in sunlight glow,
We stroll, with jasmine's sweet caress,
And honeysuckle's whispered bless.
Each step, a dance with history's grace,
In cobblestone streets, time leaves its trace.
Amidst the whispers of the past,
A vibrant tapestry, forever cast.
Oh, Rainbow Row, with colors bright,
Painting stories in the fading light,
With each breath, we inhale the tale,
Of lives lived full, of ships that sail.
Through wrought iron gates and secret lanes,
Where mossy oaks guard ancie...
